What's New
For those of you who are not new to Matchmaker, you will notice a big change in the way the site works, but we're confident that once you take some time to browse the site, you'll like what you see.
We listened to what members had to say about the old site and took the time to re-design the site based almost solely on your feedback. But more importantly, Matchmaker is still the place to find the most in-depth profiles on the web - so that "by the time you meet, you know."
Hot list - Your hot list is a good way to keep track of people you would like to meet. When you add a member name to your Hot list, you have easy access to their profiles, and find out when they come online. If you had a Friends list before, they are automatically moved over to your Hot list.
matchmarkers - The Matchmeter is a quick way to determine compatibility based on your questionnaire answers. The Matchmeter compares each profile with yours and gives it one to four stars depending on how many questions you answered the same. Remember that you can learn more about a person by reading their questionnaire answers and essays, and actually communicating with them, so use this as a guide, not as a rule!
Notes - You can enter private notes about a member, right on their profile! The notes are available for your eyes only. It's a good way to keep track of correspondences or simply your thoughts on a particular member. Notes replace the old Diary Notes and Stickers. They're a more user-friendly, personalized way for you to keep track of members you're interested in.
Email - We made it easier for you to read and write messages to other members. You'll notice that when you read a message from a member, you have easy access to their profile and even their photo. You'll also see more information about the sender, such as their matchmeter and whether or not they fit the criteria for any of your matchmarkers.
